Jammu and kashmir sold out?

Article 370 scrapped, Jammu & Kashmir to be carved into two Union Territories

·         Jammu and Kashmir will now be governed by the laws applicable to other Indian citizens

·         The Centre will need two-thirds majority in both Houses to scrap Article 370

The Centre on Monday scrapped Article 370 of the Constitution that grants special status to Jammu and Kashmir, with an order saying “it shall come into force at once". The abrogation follows the Centre introducing the Jammu and Kashmir Reorganization Bill in Parliament.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah earlier today moved the Rajya Sabha, announcing the government has decided to repeal Article 370. It’s being announced that the two state will be considered as union territories and have a legislature, and Ladakh, which will be without a legislature.

President Ram Nath Kovind has exercised his power under Clause 1 of Article 370. The presidential order has done away sections under Article 35A, which provides special privileges to “permanent residents" of the state while defining the term “permanent residents".

“Under Article 370 there is a provision that the President may by public notification declare that this article shall cease to be operative… from such date as he may specify… Because there is President’s rule, all decisions of the Assembly will be taken by the House and we can pass the order with majority," Shah said in the Upper House.

Article 370 laid down that except for matters related to defence, foreign affairs, communications and issues specified in the Instrument of Accession of Jammu and Kashmir, Parliament needs the state government's ratification for all other laws. So far, residents of the state lived under a separate set of laws, including those related to citizenship, ownership of property and fundamental rights.

Jammu and Kashmir will now be governed by the laws applicable to other Indian citizens. This is a pretty obvious news that’s been trending all over the India. Well this has various advantages to be focus on. The people of jammu and Kashmir will solely be called the people of India, undoubtly. Inflow of both internal and external tourist is going to be in a very large number. With more people coming in; there will be more chance of trade and employment. The Per capita income of these union territories will rise and so does the other infrastructures too.

Yet till today, people did not benefit from reservation, so much money was pumped into jammu and kashmir but the people are still poor. Not a second should be wasted in removing Article 370."

As a pre-emptive measure, Section 144 of the Code of Criminal Procedure (CrPC) was imposed in the state, which prohibits gathering of four or more people, late on Sunday. Both former chief ministers, Omar Abdullah and Mehbooba Mufti, were placed under house arrest. Communication lines, too, were snapped, and internet and mobile services suspended.

Former J&K chief minister and Peoples Democratic Party chief Mehbooba Mufti, who was placed under house arrest on the intervening night of Sunday and Monday, took to Twitter to hit out against the abrogation.

“What did J&K get for acceding to India? Another partition along communal lines? Our special status isn’t a gift bestowed upon us. It’s a right guaranteed by the same Parliament. A contract entered into by J&K leadership and India. Today the very same contract has been violated," she tweeted.

Well, the nation hopes; there’ll be a rain of happiness in jammu and kashmir again. Everyone will get what they should be getting, not what they want. Hundreds of real state dealers are keeping their eye on Jammu and kshmir's land. In fact, a lot of them has already started marketing the properties. Industrialization is essential, not unplanned urbanization. I hope, there’ll be peace and security in that part of the world.

Suicide or murder? All you need to know about Cafe Coffee Day

Café Coffee Day, no more a place to share smile?

No doubt, Café Coffee day is the starbucks of India. While the whole world was getting introvert, busy in their phones; one man V.G. Siddhartha had a dream to pull out the humans out of their home for a cup of coffee and some cheerful talks. With the aim to give a quality service, and food indeed, CCD was launched 26 years ago in the world's fastest growing economy, India.

The company is known for being vertical integrated to cut costs; from owning the plantations, growing coffee on their own 20 acres of land, making the coffee machines and also making their own furniture for their outlets.  As of July 2019, there are 1843 outlets of CCD across 28 states of India. It has also expanded outside India with its outlets in Austria (Vienna), Czech Republic, Egypt and Nepal.

On 29th july(Tuesday), the owner of CCD V. G Siddhartha went missing.  After 30 hours of his missing, his dead body was fished out of the Netravati River, some distance away from the spot where he was last seen. The suicide was solely because of financial pressure. A lot can happen over a cup of coffee and a lot more happened over it. When things appeared to be falling, the business tycoon Siddhartha took his  because of the belief that he failed as an entrepreneur.
This news made everyone surprise. Hundreds of youngsters came to social media to share their message on how CCD  was there for them when no one was.

Media plays the vital role in anything and everything. Due to this copycat behavior and the tradition to manipulate and exaggerate the real news; hundreds of people are getting effected and badly influenced too.  Days after this incident took place, one more suicide case is filed at netravati river. Ganesh, a 32 year old coconut seller tried to commit suicide from the same place in a same way. The local fishermen saw him jumping off the bridge and managed to save him.

The WHO report says, one out of 20 people suffer from depression in India. What is worse is that this is killing humans silently. Siddhartha and ganesh are just two examples that came in limelight in last few day,  national crime records Bureau has provided a figure of 1.3 lakh of suicide in the year 2016 and it's increasing year on year.

Rumi Goa, one of the best restaurant in Panjim.

Make your own Thali.

An initiative of www.instagram.com/rumigoa to let the customer decide what they want in their plate for their lunch.

Ratings: 9/10
Location: taligao, Goa, India.

Price: It depends upon your requirement. i paid 150-/ for this ( DM for that)
Halal: yes 💘
Parking: available.
.
PS: order gajar ka Halwa ( that's the best, one can offer)

Geniuenly, I've been looking for a good chicken thali from a very long time. My friend, sheryal, introduced me to this place called Rumigoa.

This is a small, yet big enough, resturant opened by two friends. Since, they used their beautiful backyard to setup the resturant; their cost of production isn't that high. Resturants usually keep their price of food items in a cost+ profit aspect. You can imagine the price of same food in any star resturant.

Well, let me come to the food part. a good part, the food is served in a totally bio-degradable utensil. even the cups are made up of mud. you'll literally get that hinterland vibes in one hand, and the soothing music played in the background will take you to another trip, meanwhile.

let's talk something about the food. This is the best, i repeat- the best, chicken thali that i've ever had in goa. the ambiance, the food quantity and the food quality is lit. If you're the food-fan of north east India; you'll visit this place everyday, else- you'll visit this place at least 4-5 times a week. :)

The best part about this place is it's unique concept of letting the customer decide, what they want in their plates.  if you want 5 vegetables in your plate, you'll get it. if you want just roti, or just rice, or just chicken or mutton or beef or something else........! you'll get it. yes, you'll get it.

Again Hindu vs Muslim chaos in rajasthan hospital???

Sad reality?
While one side of India is fully into politics and election, the other side is always into spread of hate, terror and crime. India is beautiful, all of it; Indians are beautiful, not all of it. While the global warming, climate change and terrorism is putting the dark shade in the world from one end; racial discrimination, Caste discrimination, gender inequality and religious biasness is hitting the society from another end.
It's not wrong to start this sentence by, "A Normal day in India".  This is a recent news from rajasthan, India. A sick house in rajasthan is in controversy these days for spreading religious discrimination. This hospital started a new trend (rather FAD) in their labor room by playing gayatri Mantra. Yes, you heard it right. The sick mind of this sick house is not just to introduce religious chaos inside the hospital but also to discriminate the other people from different religions, rather than Hinduism.

Why this religious crime?
The chief medical and health officer (CMHO) of sawai Madhopur on Tuesday told one of the reporters of a renowned newspaper company, times of India(TOI), that , "we are playing gayatri mantra in the labor room of our district hospital. We will soon expand it to all the 20 labor rooms at other health centre in the district," said Dr Tejram Meena.  "If a woman listens to gayatri mantra, she does not feel the pain of labor, "he added. The mantra is being played at siroha district hospital's labor room for more than a year.
In another hospital of Udaipur too, preparations are going on to play gaayatri mantra in the labor room, "said Dr Ashok Aditya, the reproduction and child health officer of Udaipur district.

What the Health ministry has to say about this?
State health department officials have a very different story to tell. Avoiding the responsibility is in the blood of humankind, and that we saw here too. The officials said that they aren't really aware of the incident. Also, they've not instructed the district officers to play any religious music in the hospital. The state government indeed sent some healing and meditation sounds to play in the labor room to help the women overcome their pain. Officials also promised that the verification about this matter will be done right away.

Effect of this Incident to other people from different religions:-

Some Muslim activists begun to protest against this practice. "According to Islam, the first voice to go in the ears of a newborn should be Azaan," said one of the protestor- against this move. This incident has drawn the ire of Muslim activists in the state. This created a chaos between Hindus and Muslims, yet one more time.

The best Biryani in Goa : The heritage food palace

Hungry at midnight?

welcome back to my foodblog..!
well, it was around 10:30 PM at night and i was hungry. My friends came to pick me up and we started wandering around the panjim areas in search of a good restaurant for some good food. One of my friends told me about this one place called "The Heritage Food Palace" in bhatlem, in the way to Taleigao, Goa. The owner of this place was Muslim. He gently asked us, weather we want to try something special, that he made that day. we asked him about the bestselling food item about his restaurant and he told us to try their Chicken Biryani once.

No matter how the ambience is, where the place is... taste is what it all matters to me.
I've had biryani ni so many places by now, in goa. I feel biryani's at local places has something very different element than in a proper restaurant that makes it super addictive and now I feel like I'm addicted to the local places more than fancy restaurants.
.
It did feel very fresh & soothing, thank god I could find decent 4 pieces of chicken. One can literally see how nicely it's cooked. The best part about it is the ingredients used.( local spices)  overall it was a very good experience I would definitely revisit when I crave for tasty biryani .

Is RAMADAN increasing or decreasing crime rates?

BEGINNING OF RAMADAN.
It all starts with the astronomical new moon. Since the new moon is seen in the beginning of the new month in Muslim calendar, Muslims can usually estimate the beginning of the new month. This day is known as Hilal (the crescent). From then onwards, RAMADAN begins.

Night of Power
The Arabic Laylat al-Qadr, translated to English is "the night of power" or "the night of decree", is considered the holiest night of the year.  This is the night in which Muslims believe the first revelation of the Quran was sent down to Muhammad stating that this night was "better than one thousand months [of proper worship]", as stated in Chapter 97:3 of the Quran.
Also, generally, Laylat al-Qadr is believed to have occurred on an odd-numbered night during the last ten days of Ramadan, i.e., the night of the 21st, 23rd, 25th, 27th or 29th.

Eid
This day is declared after another crescent new moon on the completion of 30 days of fasting. The new month that starts with the end of Ramadan is shawaal. This month may also be an invitation towards the festive nature of ending the fasting season and coming back to more natural disposition (fitra) of being able to eat, drink and resume intimacy with spouses during the day.

Religious practices
The common practice during Ramadan is fasting from dawn to sunset. The pre-dawn meal before the fast is called the suhur, while the meal at sunset that breaks the fast is the iftar. Muslims are engaged in prayers and charity during Ramadan. They try to practice increased self-discipline. Famous hadith mentioned that, "when Ramadan arrives, the gates of Paradise are opened and the gates of hell are locked up and devils are put in chains".
Ramadan is a time of spiritual reflection, improvement and increased devotion and worship. In this whole journey, Muslims restraint themselves from sexual relations, and avoids sinful speech and behavior. Ramadan also teaches Muslims how to better practice self-discipline, self-control, sacrifice, and empathy for those who are less fortunate; thus encouraging actions of generosity and compulsory charity (zakat). The act of fasting is said to redirect the heart away from worldly activities, its purpose being to cleanse the soul by freeing it from harmful impurities. It becomes compulsory for muslims to start fasting as long as they reach puberty. Many children endeavor to complete as many fasts as possible as practice for later life.
Exemptions to fasting are travel, menstruation, severe illness, pregnancy, and breastfeeding. However, many Muslims with medical conditions insist on fasting to satisfy their spiritual needs, although it is not recommended by the hadith. In the Quran it says that, "if somebody has difficulty participation in fasting then they do not have to".

SUHROOR
Each day, before dawn, Muslims observe a pre-fast meal called the suhoor. After stopping a short time before dawn, Muslims begin the first prayer of the day, Fajr. All the prayers are equally important for muslims, but the evening prayer is given more weightage.

IFTAR
At sunset, families sit together for the fast-breaking meal known as iftar.  The first food that goes in the mouth are usually Dates. Prophet prophet muhammad pbuh) broke his first fasting with three dates, in those times.  Following that, Muslims generally sit for the Maghrib prayer, the fourth of the five daily prayers, after which the main meal is served and the first day of the Ramadan ends with peace, harmony and discipline.

In the Middle East, the iftar meal consists of water, juices, dates, salads and appetizers, one or more main dishes, and various kinds of desserts. Typical main dishes are lamb stewed with wheat berries, lamb kebabs with grilled vegetables, or roast chicken served with chickpea-studded rice pilaf. Over time, iftar has grown into banquet festivals. This is a time of fellowship with families, friends and surrounding communities, but may also occupy larger spaces at masjid or banquet halls for 100 or more diners.

CHARITY
Charity is very important in Islam, and even more so during Ramadan. Zakāt, often translated as "the poor-rate", is obligatory as one of the pillars of Islam; a fixed percentage of the person's savings is required to be given to the poor. Sadaqah is voluntary charity in giving above and beyond what is required from the obligation of zakāt. In Islam, all good deeds are more handsomely rewarded during Ramadan than in any other month of the year. Consequently, many will choose this time to give a larger portion, if not all, of the zakāt that they are obligated to give. In addition, many will also use this time to give a larger portion of sadaqah in order to maximize the reward that will await them at the Last Judgment.
 .

LAWS DURING RAMADAN.
In some Muslim countries, failing to fast during Ramadan is considered a crime and is prosecuted as such. For instance, in Algeria, in October 2008 the court of Biskra condemned six people to four years in prison and heavy fines.
In Kuwait, according to law number 44 of 1968, the penalty is a fine of no more than 100 Kuwaiti dinars, (about US$330, GB£260 in May 2017) or jail for no more than one month, or both penalties, for those seen eating, drinking or smoking during Ramadan daytime. In some places in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), eating or drinking in public during the daytime of Ramadan is considered a minor offence and would be punished by up to 150 hours of community service. In neighboring Saudi Arabia, described by The Economistas taking Ramadan "more seriously than anywhere else",  there are harsher punishments, including flogging, imprisonment and, for foreigners, deportation.
In Malaysia, Muslims who break the fast during daytime are simply arrested by the religious police. People who sell food, drinks, or tobacco to Muslims for immediate consumption can be fined for up to RM1,000 and imprisoned for up to six months, and repeated offenders will have their penalty doubled.
Some countries have laws that amend work schedules during Ramadan. Under UAE labor law, the maximum working hours are to be six hours per day and 36 hours per week. QatarOmanBahrain and Kuwait have similar laws.
In Egypt, alcohol sales are banned during Ramadan.

HEALTH
Ramadan fasting is safe for healthy people, but those with medical conditions should seek medical advice if they were to encounter health problems before or during fasting. The fasting period is usually associated with modest weight loss, but weight can return afterwards.
The education departments of Berlin and the United Kingdom have tried to discourage students from fasting during Ramadan, as they claim that not eating or drinking can lead to concentration problems and bad grades, according to their own research.
A review of the literature by an Iranian group suggested fasting during Ramadan might produce renal injury in patients with moderate (GFR <60 ml/min) or worse kidney disease, but was not injurious to renal transplant patients with good function or most forming patients.

CRIME RATES DURING RAMADAN.
The correlation of Ramadan with crime rates is mixed: some statistics show that crime rates drop during Ramadan, while others show that it rises. Decreases in crime rates have been reported by the police in some cities in Turkey (Istanbul  and Kenya) and the Eastern province of Saudi Arabia. A 2005 study found that there was a decrease in assault, robbery and alcohol-related crimes during Ramadan in Saudi Arabia, but only the decrease in alcohol-related crimes was statistically significant. Increases in crime rates during Ramadan have been reported in Turkey,[  Jakarta,  parts of Algeria, Yemen  and Egypt.
Various mechanisms have been proposed for the effect of Ramadan on crime:
·        Fasting during Ramadan makes people less likely to commit crimes due to spiritual reasons. Muslims who commit crimes while fasting during Ramadan as "fake and superficial".
·        Police in Saudi Arabia attributed a drop in crime rates to the "spiritual mood prevalent in the country".
·        In JakartaIndonesiapolice say that the traffic due to 7 million people leaving the city to celebrate Eid al-Fitr results in an increase in street crime. As a result, police deploy an additional 7,500 personnel.
·        During Ramadan, millions of pilgrims enter Saudi Arabia to visit Mecca. According to the Yemen Times, such pilgrims are usually charitable, and consequently smugglers traffic children in from Yemen to beg on the streets of Saudi Arabia.

Everything has pros and cons. It depends on us, how we take it. Ramadan is a festival of peace and harmony. This festival also helps a lot of species to continue the food chain cycle meanwhile for a month. Crime rates are decreased, poverty is minimized as most of the rich Muslims goes for charity and donations every day. Most importantly, hundreds of Muslims sit together and break their fasting and talk about harmony, sharing joy and sorrow with each other.
